Mrs Zen

Icy's asked for possible descriptions of the smiley - mammoth and the smiley - hero I think he wanted them in Editorial Feedback A388334, then I think the Guide Eds will be adding the descriptions to the list.

The smiley - mammoth escaped, really. As Mala said, I suggested him, she drew him, and Pastey uploaded him yesterday, but it wasn't really planned. It sort of just happened.

I've no idea what other smileys are also not really planned and waiting to just happen.

He is a sweetie, isn't he?

do you realise I just intently studied the smiley - mammoth smiley to try and work out what you meant before I realised you were talking about effers' photo, Milla?

Pastey

As you all know, h2g2 is big. And that's just the front end. The code base is mahoosive, a new word I've had to make up purely to describe the size of it.

When we were putting the site back up, after it went live we were still trying to find things out, like how to add smilies. Now, knowing that there were a couple of smilies waiting in the wings, I asked for one, and Mala sent the smiley - hero which I used to test how to do it.

And with the fun we were having yesterday, the smiley - mammoth just kinda escaped.

After years of campaigning, I must say thank you on behalf of the Canadian Researchers. Finally we have been given a distinctly Canadian -- in fact a distinctly Albertan smiley. Thank you for honouring us and for honouring the Royal Alberta Museum: http://www.cryptomundo.com/wp-content/uploads/168433_ram_rf.jpg

You *did* check the copyright/trademark issue, didn't you?smiley - winkeye

Maybe now you can get to work on that London Plane Tree Leaf smiley.smiley - smiley

kea ~ Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small, unregarded but very well read blue and white website

smiley - laugh

The thing that impresses me is that something so small can yield such a good and obvious-what-it-is image with so little detail. Wonderful design.

smiley - smiley Thanks, kea. It did take several different poses to find one that worked.

You should see some of the others I'm working on - there's a lot to be done with 16 pixels. One involved half a page of diagrams and calculations...

And some are best left buried somewhere with the key thrown away, they turned out that badly. smiley - snork

Yes I was going to say that as well.

Don't be a tease Mal. Post somewhere the ones that didn't turn out well.

Any plans for doing a London Plane tree leaf smiley? anhaga is very keen and so am I...also an Occupy tent smiley would be good..and in fact one that didn't turn out so well might be more appropriate for Occupy.
