What are the good things about the coming of winter?

Tomorrow sounds grim plus Scotland are going to take a beating in Rugby World Cup..(I know that doesn't worry you Ed..but a few folk might be off for few wee drams in the cosiness of the pubs 
).
We'll be in the garden having a few beers to cool us down, maybe even a barbie later..

Some people believe that the centre of the world is Toronto, Ontario (Canada) with highs today of 17C, others that London of the UK is (earlier reported 29C)
Can I find somewhere in between, please?

Plus get a better understanding of when people are just having a bit of fun and teasing.
I hope for that to be a big part of our culture on noohootoo. And less barbed remarks particularly aimed at certain people.

It wasn't Ed I was referring to but Nick. I have it a lot. Anyway it's something I'll be contacting the new community editors about to be on the look out for. Certain Aces here are all ready well aware of the problem.

There's an amazing amount of stuff here that I'll no longer tolerate on noohootoo. There's a whole history of things that have debilitated me hugely on this site that are known about.
But I've told of the proceedure I need to use to deal with it.
Now I'm stepping out of this situation. Another thing I've been advised to do.

Replying to Ed from a little further back, we're not quite having a heat wave here, either. Today's supposed to be gorgeous- 12°C for the high. Perfect weather- nice enough to have windows open but nowhere cool enough yet to need a jacket or anything. The early part of next week is supposed to be a bit warmer, though- 23°C. That's far from a heatwave, but I'm really anxious for it to cool off and stay there so I can have some nice, hot soup in front of a smoldering fireplace.
