Just a quickie.
How do you know if you are mad (in a clinical sense). I ask this as I have suspected for quite a while that I am (Wrist watches are a pretty neat idea). Are there any tests such as the use of litmus paper (I know this didn't bring any confirmed results).

I don't think YOU do know. It's what the people outside think. Isn't it?

Personally I think it's the people behind the radiator that tell me

It seems to be pretty arbitrary. If they think you are mad then there is virtually no chance of convinving them you are not. They have all the power. I cannot remember any tests that worked well, at all, and of course it depends on your definition of mad....

you can know you are mad and still be mad....
the clinical definition of "mad" is when you are unable to function in society due to mental illness and are considered a danger to yourself and others. so if you still have a day job you aren't mad. If you just mowed down your co-workers with an uzi......... well.....
