The Paul Simon record has several of the artists of the "Graceland" era on it; very much grounded in the World Music thing still. The photographs of Paul are rather amusing; there are lots of strategically placed hats and hoods to disguise his rather advanced state of hair loss. There's a song called "Pigs, Sheep and Wolves" - nicely cutting and political, and for some reason it sounds a bit like the Dandys to me. On the whole, the music isn't anything particularly ground breaking, and nor are some of the lyrics, but on scanning there are some very good pieces; "Darling Lorraine" is particularly effective as a lyric. Nice to know he hasn't lost the touch, but "Paul Simon" is still my favourite. After that, it's a toss up between "There Goes Rhymin' Simon" and "Still Crazy After All These Years"...

This sounds good to me... what's the album name? Why have I missed this?
Radio 2 gave way to Simple Minds 'Street Fighting Years', which I haven't heard in ages. The power of it is awesome... hit me again just like it used to.

Afro Celt Sound System, Volume 1 Sound Magic, Track 4b Sure-As-Knot (Jungle Segue).
Totally stunning album about what can be achieved with an open mind towards music and rhythm.

I'm currently listening to "Undrentide" by the Mediaeval Baebes, which is (oddly enough) the first track on "Undrentide", their third album.
And yes, although it's in MP3 format I do have the CD. MP3s are a lot easier to take to University though.
Other features of my collection are:
"Worldes Blysse", the second Mediaeval Baebes album
Eurythmics: Peace
Abba Gold (*duck*)
The Corrs: Forgiven, Not Forgotten; Talk on Corners; Unplugged; In Blue
Whitney Houston: The Greatest Hits
Madonna: Ray of Light
Texas: The Hush
Sting: Brand New Day
Shania Twain: Come On Over (she really needed a different title for that album)
... and the music from the computer game "Wheel of Time" which is excellent and comes in MP3 format on CD2.
If anyone wants to criticise my musical taste, feel free, but (track change - we're now on "To Have And Not To Hold" by Madonna) I won't listen.
It's in my school's MP3 collection...
