Madbeachcomber, I've done my spring cleaning, does that make me sad?

I dont have a typical sunday routine. Sometimes I garden, sometimes I do a carboot sale, today I've just got back from Colchester zoo... knackeredsmiley - biggrin

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

Ordinarily on a Sunday, it is Enterprise, and previously has been Farscape, Stargate, Smallville etc. Today it would have been Cricket, but luckily it has finished (I guess, as it is my other fav. prog. Time Team)

I was explaining my USUAL Sunday...

No washing or ironing today, so BIG job next Sunday...

Hi all, I neither love nor hate sundays.
I work every other weekend. Been working today, get up washed, dressed etc then off to work. Always cook a roast dinner at work...
Then when i get home i shower and relax reading a book and listen to tv/radio.
Today I have been listening to the football/play offs on radio..from Cardiff. Chat to my mum and b/f, then have tea and watch tv or read.

When it`s my day off i try to have a lie in. When i`m up and dressed i go to my mums for lunch and a good chat. Get home around 4-30pm then I just relax & read, or catch up on anything that i missed during the week, paper work etc. Then i just watch abit of tv and have a early night, cause i will be working the next day.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

This Sudnay was a busy day, which as a rule they generally arn't for me.
I went to bed 4 AM Sunday morning smiley - drunk Doorbell rang at 9 AM an d woke me up.
My Friend shaun, his whife and their young ch had arrived.
WElcomed them in and went upstiars, put kettle on to make coffee, fussed over theire little kid a bit.
Had coffee, went and brushed my hair and teeth and tried to wake myself up a bit went to the loo.
Chatted a while, got out a bowl so they could feed kiddy.
Broth Surfaed from teh spare room adn came down (H'ed come down on Friday for the weekend).
Me Shaun kiddy and his whife went out in the car over to a car show room smiley - yawn My brother went back to bed smiley - wah Went in to a few shops, I got some large flowerpots and compost...
Went in to a clothes Shop I'd never been in before, got a couple of relaly nice shirts that colour coordinate nicely with the rest of my wardrobe.
Came back, beat my brother up till he got out of bed, then we went to the pub.
Brother didn't drink any booze, I drank guiness.
Had a pub lunch, I had chips egg and sa sausage, it was quite nice.
Brother said he coulnd't stomach anything, but I made him buy some chips which he ate most of.
Wondered back to mine and puzzled over my new cordless phones for a while, and failed to get them working.
about 5 went back to the pub, I drank Adnams, Brother still on the soft stuff.
few hours later decided they ought to eat before they traveled back, so we came back down my road and got chinese and suchlike which we ate.
Just after 7 they left, my Brother decided to travel back with them today as the trains are all bonkers this weekend and he didn't want to risk geting a train tomorrow.
I've just done teh washing up and tidied the kitchen and washed up all the empy beer glasses that were laying about the place. smiley - erm Oh, yeh, and before I went to bed today at 4 AM, my Brother and I and a friend I met in the pub were sitting in the front room drinking more beer and at about 2 AM my friend left to walk home, before i did the going to sleep thing at 4 AM. smiley - erm should probably now do some more cleaning smiley - wah

I love Sundays.

I usually spend the morning in bed - reading the papers which I get delivered (luxury!) and chivvying my kids into brining me cups of tea.

After a brunch type thing (typically bacon butties, or French Toast, or fruit smoothies...I may have a Bloody Mary with my fab chilli vodka) we'll head off out somewhere. Today it was 30 degrees smiley - cool so me, my daughter and 2 of her friends went to an open air swimming pool by the banks of the River Moselle, with vineyards on the other side. Lots of grassy space for lounging around, finishing the crossword, splashing in the pools.

Home about 6 - my son had prepared carrots and potatoes for the evening roast (bless 'im smiley - angel) and we had delicious roast chicken.

If the weather's not so good, we'll usually go to the cinema. Luxembourg is a very Catholic country - shops and stuff are shut so the cinema is about the only entertainment on offer smiley - erm

The Groob

The most boring Sunday I've known for years. I don't usually get bored but today...yawn. I can usually write lots in my diary at the end of the day but today I'll probably write "What a boring day".

I like Sundays, they're great for just vegging out, reading the rubbish magazine that someone keeps posting through the door. I'll usually get up at about 12-ish, recover for a while, watch something boring on the tellybox, make something nice to eat...not a lot really, but I enjoy itsmiley - smiley But lately, something bad seems to be happening every Sunday, so I may have to reconsider my stance on the day.
