Well I was going to mention Mapplethorpe...but not just his flowers. Unfortunately his photos involving bullwhips have been deemed NSFW by the local IT monkeys. Pah! Political correctness gone mad.

On 'objectification'...I *kinda* see what you're saying...but it seems to me a rather loose term. I'm reminded of a couplet from Canada's premier stand-up comedian:

That is true, I'm afraid. 
Like...say we're sitting on a beach. Half of our brain will be saying:
'Now all these breasts are quite natural. Their owners are not directing a sexual signal towards me, simply enjoying the fresh air and the warmth of the sun on their bare skin in a completely wholesome, natural and innocent way. Nothing to get agitated about at all.'
Wheras the other half will be saying:
