I was talking to a girl the other day(it does happen) and some guy came over and held up his mobile with the text "I love you" written in the message editor. That seemed a rather pathetic attempt.

...and what happened? I bet she smiled. I bet she was flattered, even if she told him of pss orf. I bet she admired his nerve.

She more or less ignored the guy, and kept chatting with me. She didn't seem impressed.
