What have you done that's unusual and possibly unique
highamexpat Posted Mar 14, 2009
I spent 5 days in Las Vegas & didn't gamble so much as a dime. Now that's got to be unique.

I've given a real proper ambassador a box of Ferrero Rocher.

I thought Vegas was all about excess. who can spend the most money to outdo their neighbours. Hotels with roller coasters around the outside, a pirate ship fight where the loser actually sinks, a rain forest cafe with a tropical storm every hour etc.
I was there attending a cinema industry trade show and was more interested in the construction aspect than throwing my money away. by the way there are no clocks anywhere in the casinos. I went to bed one night came down for breakfast and there was this old lady still playing the same slot as the night before.
Sad really.

I was Sharp(TM) cash register UK engineer of the year 1989. I know that's unique because I'm the only person on this planet who has the engraved crystal decanter to prove it.
I was also the only dealer in the *world* to actually purchase a particular model of EPOS workstation developed by a major (and I mean major) manufacturer.
It cost them somewhere in the region of $1.6m to research/develop/manufacture and, globally, they sold just one unit - to me!
I'd like that fact to be mentioned on my headstone at some point in the future. I'd also like to be buried with the sodding thing. It must be the most expensive and utterly useless piece of junk that I've ever had the unique pleasure to own!

Listened to a Barry manilow record and liked it, or posted something on this thread but can you be unique and 21st, gone naturalist on holiday, nearly died, or given my partners amazing real time orgasms which they were too breathless to fake

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am... Posted Mar 15, 2009

Terribly sorry to burst your bubble but I rather suspect you have an overinflated sense of your own prowess if you think that's unique or unusual. Also confused by the use of "real time", this is as opposed to what precisely? Sorry, it just sounds like a quote from an advert for some dubious book on alledgedly fool-proof sexual techniques.
Anyway... my unique/unusual things:
Been made an Official Troll of a forum I frequent.
Completed a Fighting Fantasy book without cheating.
Briefly met the late Jesse Pintado (guitarist with Napalm Death until 2004).
Caused my electric guitar and amplifier to emit such low frequencies that it made my ears pop.
