My first vinyl 45 was Charlie Drake singing (sic) "My Boomerang won't Come Back" It came together with a brand spanking new Dansette record player. And the first album? Probably "The Shadows" by of course, The Shadows. Its still in my mother's attic, languishing alongside The Incredible String Band, The Doors, and BB King. Unfortunately, all scratched to buggery.

I'm not really here

The first single I bought was The Beat, by The Look, but I already had White Horses and some Mary Poppins and Sound of Music singles that my mother had bought me.

My first album was Grease, which I got as a joint present with my brother. I expect he's forgotten that now, so it's in my cupboard. smiley - biggrin

I've still got all of the above. smiley - blush

Actually I just googled for The Beat, and Google hasn't heard of it, unless I put one of the lines from it in, then I get just one result. Is that a Googlewhack??
