Dea.. - call me Mrs B!

Manimal was a bloke who used to investigate baddies by changing into animals! He only ever did a black panther and a hawk as far as I can remember but when he was changing you only ever got to see his hands and the veins all used to swell up and start writhing. Fairly spooky when you're only bout 8!

Yeah i thought of Why Don't You which i always hated ~ but the last series got a little surreal apparently and i saw on BBC4 the other night that Russel T Davies wrote those last shows.
He also wrote Century Falls and Dark Season which were the first scary shows for kids

Just checked it was made in '83.
Weird they only made 8 eps but i seem to remember it running longer ~it must have been pretty effective to stick in our minds like this.

a special mention should also be made about the long farting trombone sound that started off the theme tune to Johnny Briggs and the sausage on a fork that would burst in midway through the opening credits of Grange Hill. Two of my personal favorite moments from kids teevee.

SeaView was about a sad dweeby kid; think curly type perm a la keegan & nhs black glasses, and his older sister moving to and living in a b&b on the coast with their parents. They had loads of amusing 'adventures', although the only one I can remember really, envolved roller skates.

I do remember enjoying watching it though, sad as that may be.

*perhaps I did imagine it?*
