I blame 2legs for our Arabic Department being the stuffed conservative old-fashioned thing that it is, which puts memorising example sentences given by a 9th-century grammarian (however important his grammar book may be) and the technical work of reading and translating Classical Arabic texts over actually using your mind.
I blame 2legs for the fact I more and more simply dislike my Arabic courses, despite the fact that I love the language, and am only pulling through them to get my degree already.
