MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

They are 'Classic' in their own way!

Maybe not exactly 'Riders in the Sky' or Nights in White Satin' but just as 'Memorable'! smiley - laugh

Now St. Winifred's School Choir???

smiley - sadface What? You want something like 'Pie Jesu' or 'Ave Maria'?

How 'Literal' do you want it? smiley - huh

I'm smiley - sorry for any upset!!!

As per usual I get it wrong!!! I'll just disappear as I thought it might be fun to inject my "perceived sense of humour" into this thread, and introduce some old 'Music' that many may never have heard, and now wish they never had...

My apologies for hijacking, and ruining, this thread.

I'm off! It's all yours!!!

Enjoy!!!

Charles and Eddie "Would I Lie To You?"

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JCrCpgBRpc8

A not-bad soul song sung in some occasionally OTT falsetto that was a massive hit over here (UK) in 1992. They had a follow-up hit (whose name I forget, something to do with New York City) that failed to match the first song's success and then faded away.

"The Model - Kraftwerk

yes, I know they did loads of other stuff, but frankly who can name it, let alone remember it."

Strange choice. I'm not a big Kraftwerk fan but I can name "Radioactivity", "Autobhan" and "The Robots" off the top of my head.

Oh, and "Tour de France" which they sung in French:

You may be able to name them, Zagreb, but they weren't hits, at least in the UK. The only time Kraftwerk troubled the chartmakers was with The model.

Just noticed that all my selections have been by Foreign (American) bands maybe the were more successful in their homeland and Im just not aware of other good stuff by them.

Maybe Eddie Brickell and her band split up after this because they all the hair care routine gotin the way of making music.smiley - erm

Nope. "Autobahn" made it to number 11, whilst "Tour de France" made it to number 22 and "The Robots" made it to number 20. They also had a hit with "Showroom Dummies" in 1982 which I somehow forgot to include.

Oops the Destroyer - not actually evil just very clumsy

Jonah also did "You'll Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties" which I was going to suggest until I remembered Stop The Cavalry. I always think the Christmas season actually starts the first time you hear Stop The Cavalry in a shop.
