Watch how this one about Ken Livingstone falling out with Associated Newspapers and the Jewish lobby is spun into the reason why London didn't get past the next hurdle to host the Olympics.
He's smart enough to know that falling out with the Jewish Lobby won't hurt his chances of being relected one little bit. Old Two faced Tone will be worried though.

"Two environmental campaigners should have been awarded legal aid in their long-running fight against a McDonald's libel action, a court has found."
This was the McLibel case where the two people represented themselves against the McDonalds lawyers and lost, to the tune of £40k. Which, surprisingly (!), they have not paid.

Oh, I don't know. When I'm not stumbling across stories about pizza, it's stories about chickens.

Although the only actual info is that he committed suicide. I can't see any reported link between his suicide and the programme he was on.

A bottle of Listerine was found in her car??
I hope she's not driving behind me!
What caught my eye today was the report of Blair being berated on Channel 5's The Right Stuff - by a mother (and life-long Labour supporter) of an autistic boy who was "not the same" after his MMR jab. She stated that if it wasn't the MMR jab which caused his autism then it was his (Blair's) job as Prime Minister to be looking into the cause.
Unfortunately this link at the BBC news website makes no mention of this...

This story's got everything - sex, politics, and the sort of coincidence that a scriptwriter would reject as too far-fetched for use.

It doesn't seem that strange to me. Adoptions for the sake were very commonplace back then and they had a devastating effect on many people's lives. Now if it was a *bishop* who had had the child; kept the fact secret for twenty years; sequestered large amounts of church money away for the benefit of the kid and the silence of the mother; and didn't see anything wrong in taking a hard-line on single mothers and contraception, then it might be a bit more interesting.

Woodpigeon, if it were a case of a person finding his birth parents and nothing more, I agree that it would be a big yawn. But in this case, with the father being a morals crusader and public nuisance, there is a bit more to it. But of course, the aspect the press is having a field day with is the fact that father and son have been in daily contact for several years while unaware of the relationship...
In fact, the poor lad has probably been recording the sound at various events when the minister's been publicly proclaiming his wish to meet his son one day. Like I said, a scriptwriter wouldn't touch this scenario.
But in the great scheme of things - yes, the starquake is a whole lot more interesting.

A load of aggro about a satirical website that is not exactly pro-Blair being being rmeoved and flame war ensuing.
However, I love the response from the hosting company in the last paragraph!
