That link is a drawing.
I know many people here will understand it.
I know also that others will turn on their mantras to take distance from the suffering. Others, simply won´t care.
The drawing, a recreation of the Guernika by Picasso, summarizes what´s going on in Palestine.
Guernika was bombed, people simply couldn´t scape, there were no place to go. The town and the people were wiped out. They knew it was civilians who were being killed. The international community also was blind like now. ONly the International Brigadists came here to fight the barbarie.
Now Doctors without frontiers and people from different places are also volunteering to help palestinias, and they are being killed too, as has just happened with those UN members at a school. What doctors say is horrofic.
I can´t express my sorrow. This is a genocide, there´s no other word to express it better.
Recently a israeli deputy wrote about etnic cleasing. This is really a madness, it´s the horror for people who have no safe place to hide.
Please, before saying again Israel has a right to self-defence, or it´s about religion, or identify a diverse population, which fights in different ways the siege of israel, with Hamas, thinks twice and read social media, not the mainstream one.

When I read that the Harrier has"serious potential for a future return to flight", that suggests that the sale price will not be the biggest expense.

It doesn't have to work just as long as the other side (those inaccurate deviant preverts at Wiki) think it works, just the threat will see them all scurrying off to the Ecuadorian Embassy while will take control of the interweb

Not sure what to make of the following story: "Taoriba Biniati makes boxing history for Kiribati"
... "We advertised for a female boxer to join our club and maybe compete in Glasgow," said Andrewartha, who visited Kiribati (formerly Gilbert Islands in Pacific) ... "We laid on food and drink and thought there would be queues of girls, but we waited and waited. A couple of weeks later, a government minister turned up with this little girl and said she'd like to box. ... "I hit her in the face ... and said: 'How did that feel?' And she said: 'Fine'. She comes from a very poor family, but she's a lovely person. ...

What is newsworthy about somebody saying that something done with violence is worse than the same thing done without violence?

it´s newsworthy because of the someone who has said that pearl of wisdom.
Why Mr Dawkins considered tweeter-worthy to say that is what I don´t know.
Maybe he has done a deep research on psychology and sexual agressions and felt the need to enlighten humanity .
or maybe he was in need of another fix of "they are talking about me, again, yay!" You know... bathroom, constipation, mobile phone, smartassism...

I think people may be reacting to the political possibility that he is thinking of cutting back on enforcement on 'non-violent' offenses, an uncomfortable political motif since the middle 20th century.
He frankly doesn't make much sense to me, but people must be questioning if he's making public comments just what he intends to do on the issues.
Perhaps he simply delights in keeping people in emotionally unsettled states.
