This John Titor bloke?
Mauritania Started conversation Jun 17, 2004
A 'friend' of mine has been surfing around the web (as you do on a Thursday morning) and found some 'interesting' websites about John Titor, he seems to be a time travellor from the 2030's claiming that ther worlds (mainly the US) is about to go to pot. He claims 9/11 is the start of America's troubles and that being lead by an oppressed government of oil barons will plunge the US into recession and eventually into civil war, his claims of being a time travellor is based on unscrouplous physics surronding his time machine, which is a corvette filled with electronic gizmoes. So what do you guys think???

And this British writer is making a s**tload of money off time.
http://www.jasperfforde.com/
He has packaged time as a pretty chick named Thursday Next who drives around Swindon correcting temporal anomalies in an old Porsche painted to camoflage itself nicely in an M C Escher jigsaw-puzzle landscape and timescape.
It seems the market is demanding alternative realities and people are cashing in. But all these new Time Lords are just a waste of Space. We know Who the one true bobbins are, don't we Doctor?

Well one of the John Titor photos are a fake, when he fires a lasers outside the car window because the gravity is deflecting the light. Why isn't the camera's light affected/distorted???

There's lots of evidence that the John Titor thing is a fake to get people talking - he flatly contradicts himself for starters (he refuses to give away anything about the future because of blah-de-blah, yet he's happy to give dates etc for the Second US Civil War). Also, the biggest giveaway that someone like this is a fake is the refusal to even give vague details of future events. If I went back into the past, I would be happy to reveal things like 9/11 and Diana's death as "major world events" and give the year. That can't damage any space-time-continuum b*****ks because it's too vague, and yet it would work as evidence in my favour.
It's a trick, get over it.

No he doesn't. I've seen the John Titor site and he doesn't mention 9/11 or "oil barons", he just says something vague about the Middle East and says that the Second Civil War is about the country vs the cities - nothing to do with foreign wars, oil, or anything like that.

Still, only a year to go before we find out since it is supposed to kick off in 2005.
He also says that his past is not necessarily our future. I.e. he may be from a different time stream to us.
Then again there's always an outside chance he's having a laff!
