It cant be good if you start hungry, it can only get worse You could at least do your self the favour of starting with a full belly

But I had a full belly today, just before 1 PM, when I had lunch, of a large egg and bacon bagette and a steak and kidney pie

Started today... had a cup of peppermint tea this morning, which surprisingly, didn't taste like dishwater, and was actually quite nice and refreshing!
Just brought apples into work today, and have got a tin of mandarin segments to have for dinner. Our local Lidl's didn't have much in the way of fruit and veg, so will pop there again this evening.
Was feeling super cool this morning, but then housemate narked me off severely cuz I had the audacity to bother him in the morning, so had half a cigar before leaving for work but will aim for a nicotine free day tomorrow..!
Missing my coffee!

A quick walk round the block! Get some fresh air into yer lungs!
I did 3 days last week - very good on the abstinence of alcohol, cigs, tea and coffee. Not so good on the sugar, as I had a bar of choclate on Saturday night.
Weighed myself on Sunday - had lost 2 kg! Wayhay! So I celebrated with a glass of wine . And a couple of s.
So now I'm in phase 2 - still no tea or coffee, still trying to swap fruit for sticky buns mid morning, going for plain lean meat plus salads as my food. And still keeping up on the exercise front.
Giving up coffee is tough for the first few days, but it's surprising how your body adapts.

For those of you beating yourselves up about consuming that food of the gods, , there is evidence that it's actually good for you!
Serious phytochemicals and such, it turns out, good for your heart.
However, a display case worth is a bit over the top...
As for fasting, I have a book by Karen Kingston, called "Clearing Your Clutter with Feng Shui", where she devotes a whole chapter to cleansing your bowels.... I mean, if you're going to clear your clutter anyway...

Sorry!

I was just reading further down in the list; I came across the update on Bels. I hope my previous post here is not taken as insensitive! If it has been perceived that way, please forgive me -- it was unintentional.
I did not in any way mean to make light of bowel cancer! I always look out for posts to Bels' bowel cancer journal. And I really sympathize with his broken ankle, having smashed mine about 4 years ago! Darn things never heal right and hurt like the devil.
I'm glad to know he's still punning around.
Again, sorry for the unfortunate juxtoposition.

SC - I can't see how your post would be taken as insensitive.
All this fruit and veg is having enough of an effect there already
Did well all day yesterday, then got home.. and one housemate wanted me to help her finish her bottle of white wine... otherwise it would've gone to waste, and I can't abide waste! Then, when I was out of the room, so through no fault of my own whatsoever , my glass was replenished with red from another housemate!
Then, , Milky housemate came home with crisps and dip, and I only had 1 crisp! but the dips went really well with my parsnips
Then, , I needed a tupperware tub to put the rest of my pear halves in, but the only one available had leftover butter icing inside, and due to my aforementioned non-abidement of waste, I had to finish that so I could wash the tub up and use it for my peach halves......
Soooo... I started off really well! A few times! Back on track today... <- determined smiley

Keep up the good work!
My favourite fish was on the grill yesterday at work (vivaneau - which I believe is Red Snapper) so I had that with baked potato and veggies. And a slice of watermelon.
Had a slice of cake mid afternoon though
At tea time had salad (feta cheese, 1 slice parma ham, loads of salad veg) and then went to the gym . Must have burned a zillion calories doing all that kick boxing, so had a vodka martini (bison grass vod) when I got home. And a few tortilla chips until my lodger wisely took the bag off me.

ooh ooh!
Was much better yesterday (having eaten all possible sweets the day before!), but did end up partaking of vodka , but I figured it was made from vegetables and we were drinking it with fruit juice.....
Had pears for brekkie, apples through the day (did bring in carrots but they were Lidl's (cheapo store), and are not good raw , and beetroot for dinner! All sounds very boring, although, yesterday I thought I felt a bit more lively, but put it down to getting to bed early, however last night was a late night, and I'm still feeling a lot clearer. Plus, I *think* (scales aren't the best) that I've lost 3lb since Saturday!
Will stick to this till Sunday, then start building more things into my diet again.

went a bit Pete Tong yesterday due to toothache - had an ice cream to freeze me gob! Plus somebody's birthday in work.. , then after a naff day got home and housemate offered me sausage tikka for dinner
But still feel a lot livelier than I have done in a while, and back on track today
First time I've ever done this.. and I'd recommend it!
