I would just like to put paid to the fallacy that Hair continues to grow after death. It does'nt, but lots of people believe its true.

As for goatees, I maintain they either work extremely well or not at all. Much like people who wear leather trousers. Almost nobody on the planet should wear leather trousers (imho) but sometimes the occasional person (Jim Morrison, Chrissy Hynde, Jimi Hendrix) look totally fab. Same with goatees.
Also, I was caught out with my prejudice against moustaches when blicky mentioned David Niven. As much as I hate them I have to admit that very very occasionally they *do* work.

Now you see I have a very nice pair of burgandy leather trousers that I wear when it gets *really* cold I think half the reason I like them so much is that they were in a closing down slae and only cost €30 reduced from about €120
I don't think they look too bad and since they are cut just like hipster jeans I don't see why they should look any worse than jeans just because the material is different
Now PVC on the other hand little bit dodgy in my mind but if other people want to wear it I'm not stopping them.

OK, for what it's worth, my personal thoughts:
I always seem to go for guys with long hair (on their heads!) & usually not much body hair BUT was once married to an extremely hairy (& very nice!) guy, everyone joked he had hairs growing out of his hairs! But very soft & since i was in love, it was pretty irrelevant, as these things usually are.
Someone once said to me when i was whinging about him wanting to cut his hair "But what if i had chemotherapy or brain surgery, would you go off me then?" good point.
The guy i am seeing now shaves "down there",which rather surprised me at first, but it's fine, again, not stubbly so no friction burns!
I do myself from time to time, but never shave pits, occasionally legs.
Addicted to plucking bits off my face, but that's probably just me being neurotic!
Here in France, quite a few guys have goatees, somehow it looks better than you'd think, maybe it's the culture or facial structure of French guys? (they do tend to have a very special combination of dark hair, & blue/green eyes & great high cheekbones!)
Usually moustaches are a turn off, reminds me of 70's TV series!
When i lived in the Middle East, used to go & get "sugared" (i am certain hair grows faster in the heat, plus lots of swimming etc.) It is traditional for Arab women to get themselves totally de-haired before their wedding, they tend to make a big girly party out of this & sugar each other, with much hilarity!
I am told that gay Arab men do likewise, but don't know if the guy who told me was just trying to shock me! (He didn't!)

As someone has pointed out already, goatees are the work of the devil.
However, this need not prejudice us against them, as some of the devil's works are pretty kule, such as sex, drugs and rock'n'roll, not to mention the internet (surely one of his finest creations! )

The myth that hair grows after death, is due to retraction of the skin, which makes the hair folicle pertrude slightly Someone say PVC? Now, PVC against shaved....... Oh sorry I'll get me coat

Gee, thanks, 2Legs! It'll take me a fair time to get that image out of my mind!!!

P.S -- I am not saying ALL goatees have a "pubic" look to them...
I'm just remembering a biker I used to know who ran a Harley Davidson repair shop; he seemed to have a perpetual leer -- maybe that's it!

PVC??? COR!! Prefer leather though.
I dont care if the woman I love is hairy or not, but I hate having to shave(face)
Having shaved elsewhere once, I learned my lesson; that stubble ITCHES!
Never again.

"that stubble ITCHES!"
Yep, which is why a lot of women go for hair removal methods which result in a smoother re-growth, it may be more painful to do but it's certainly more comfortable long term!

Right, I bought an epilator, and gave it a trial run last night.
Hint to new users: do NOT attempt to trim your bikini line after having had a few vodkas!

Will add it to my list of girly things NEVER to do after a few sherbets.......apply fake tan, pluck eyebrows, apply nail varnish.

I always find it's better to do it after a nice long bath and a few glasses of wine, though you do still need to have control of course otherwise you can end up epilating areas you didn't intend to!

Using talcum powder helps if you are using a "dry" method I am told.
Intravenous morphine is useful too.
"Don't try this one at home folks!"

Yeah, I don't use talcum powder but I can imagine it would help, I'm just a little worried it would clog up the epilator.

Apparently gay men can find hairy men particularly attractive, perhaps its because it lookly macho and manly? Hairy gay men are referred to as bears.
My gay ex-flatmate went clubbing one night, paid to get in and looked around and thought something was a bit weird. So he asked the guy behind the bar what sort of night it was and was told it was 'Bear night'. Unfortunately my friend is bald, totally shaved head and the least hairy guy I've ever met, and they wouldn't give him his money back. I guess he didn't pull that night then.
