"Thank you" by the Pale Fountains.
I don't suppose for a millisecond that anybody here has ever heard of it. In fact I'm not even sure myself if that was the group's name ... it was a long time ago.

Nope, I haven't heard of them... but my musical tastes are rather random!
The song in my head at the mo is "Flowers in the Rain" by The Move.

I've heard of the Pale Fountains. Singer was the guy who later went on to form Shack, who are also supposed to be very good. I don't know of anything by either myself, but I know a number of people who think highly of both. I believe that you can still get hold of Pale Fountains and Shack records without too much difficulty, too.
Today's tunes:
Pet Shop Boys - 'Left To My Own Devices'
Which caused an outbreak of dancing in the office when it came on the radio earlier, much to the amusement of my colleagues.
The Bluetones - 'Marblehead Johnson'

I have "Thank you" on 7" vinyl somewhere ... it almost made it into the charts in about 1982, I think. And it's still in my head today.
