Hello World
I am a rather private person and it's a bit scary for me to write about myself to the world. I live in Seattle, Washington USA. It's a beautiful city and I've lived here since 1980. I arrived about one month before Mount St. Helens erupted. I lived with my grandmother in a loft apartment that had a huge ceiling high front window. It had two smaller hatch type windows at the top, on each side, that could be pulled open with a pole. I remember my grandmother closing those windows, because she was worried that ash from the eruption might travel to Seattle and come into the apartment. We were from Michigan and had no experience with volcanoes.
I'm not a particulary outgoing person. I tend to be shy at first when meeting new people or am in large group of people. When I was younger I was painfully shy and self-conscious. I'm a lot better now, but it is still an issue at times. I do like to party and am perfectly capable of being outrageous or making an ass of myself. I really enjoy being with friends and having a good time. I have a great sense of humor and appreciate this in others. My humor tends to the witty and sarcastic. Goofy or physical humor doesn't do it for me. I like satire, but not spoof. I also enjoy reading, movies and music. I am deeply interested in spirituality, personal growth and nature. Oh, and astronomy fascinates me. I'd love to travel. The only foreign travel I've done is to Canada. The top two places I'd like to see and explore are Ireland and Africa. I am terrifed of flying, but I would do so to get to those places. Ireland is beautiful and I love the spirit, character and humor of the Irish people- also the Irish accent. As for Africa, I would dearly love to go on a safari in Kenya.
Sharing all this was easier than I expected, and I'm glad I did it. See ya around the universe!
