Written by Derek Griffiths that was (of 'Head and Tails' and 'Playschool' fame).
E=MC2 by Big Audio Dynamite.
I had completely forgotten about that track. They played it on Buzzcocks last night and I whizzed back in time. More life in that couple of bars they played than the whole of the chart now.

Did Roy Orbison do that one too? Blimey - is there anybody who *hasn't* covered that song?
Noah, he built him, he built him an arky-arky

I think it was the Righteous Brothers. Jimmy Young did a version. That pair off Soldier Soldier did it. Can't remember who else. In our house it's known as The Knee Song, from the line "I NEEEEEEEEED your love".

First time I heard it was when that Tintin bloke from the Righteous Brothers did it.
At the mo, for some strange reason, I have Shakey on the brain. "Love worth waiting for" I think it's called.

I'm experiencing something new and interesting...and quite annoying... at the moment: Since I started singing choir in an Elvis copyband ("OnElvis") I have had songs repeating in my head...or rather the _choir_ of the songs! So instead of having the lyrics of the song "Too much" on my mind, I have:
"aaaaaaaaaaahh
uuuuuuuuuuuhh
aaaaaaaaaaahh-ah
ba-du-dub ba-du-dub
ba-du-dub ba-du-dub"
etc etc, on my mind...not only does it get a bit tedious after a while, I also feel quite stupid by going around humming or singing only the choir of the song. And only my own layer of a three layered choir at that!
Anyway, it's a new and interesting experience
