A786251 explains how to add h2g2 stuff to the sidebar.
I don't think tabs can be moved to the bottom - I half remember reading in a FireFox discussion that someone had requested it as a feature/extension.

I can't get it to work for Firefox. I can only assume it's not supposed to work for Firefox, or I'm just being incompetant this morning.

MMm I think FireFox/Bird's sidebar has been pruned as part of the "remove everything most users don't want" philosophy of the PRoject - I imagine there is an extension that could help - I've had a quick look here
http://texturizer.net/firefox/extensions/
But couldn't see anything.

I have a couple of questions:
1. Does broadband automatically mean more popups on all browsers?
2. I use I.E.5 because it was the default on my Mac. I've tried Netscape a few times but when on h2 the text in the posting box is way too small and if I increase it then the posting box gets too wide and I have to use the bottom scroll bar of my browser all the time. Is there any way I can fix that?
Unfortunately Mozzilla doesn't run on MacOS9, but the FireFox page was nice enough to say that at the start.
thanks,
kea.

Hi Kea
I can only answer Q1. of your queries, I'm afraid, and from my own experience...
When I was on dial-up, because the connection was so slow I was able to close down most pop-ups before they, popped up properly. On broadband the pop-ups are so fast i had a screen full of the blasted things before I knew what was happening. My flatmate runs the Google toolbar in I.E. to block them, but I thought I'd try something new, and Firefox seems more intuitve and smarter than I.E. - start campaigning for a Mac version now! Broadband doesn't 'automatically' mean more pop-ups, just that they are more annoying...

Although I'm still stick on Firebird, the Mozilla family get my vote too.
Tab based browsing is a habit that, once learned, makes IE drive you up the wall. At some point I might start petitioning the Uni to let me install Firefox.
However, the plug-ins make some sites difficult to use, so I will always keep IE (I'm to lazy to figure out the plug-in system).

Oh oh... (apologies for the multiple postings)
I didn't realise you were asking about IE. I have no idea where the bar is in IE.

That's ok Vip, I think it's something I have to download? Not sure if it will work with I.E.5 anyway.

Found it: http://toolbar.google.com/
Doesn't run on a Mac. Which isn't too upsetting because I like google about as much as I like I.E.
