How to add a “Who’s Online" or a “h2g2 Conversation List” panel to your Netscape/Mozilla Sidebar

If your using Netscape 6+ or Mozilla 0.8+ you can now add h2g2 functionality to your Sidebars1.

Who's Online

  1. Go to the Netscape "Preview a Tab" page.
  2. Enter "Who's Online" into the "Tab Name" box.
  3. Enter "http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/Online" into the "Tab URL" box.
  4. Click the "Preview Tab" button and then when the add tab dialog box pops up click the "OK" button.

Conversation List

  1. Go to the Netscape "Preview a Tab" page.
  2. Enter "Thread List" into the "Tab Name" box.
  3. Enter "http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/MPxxxxxx?skip=&show=&s_type=pop&s_upto=&s_target=_content" into the "Tab URL" box, changing "xxxxxx" for your Researcher number2.
  4. Click the "Preview Tab" button and then when the add tab dialog box pops up click the "OK" button.
