I hate to say it, but it get's quite complex from here on in.
Also there is a certain random element you will have to overcome.
Can I be any more cryptic without giving it away? probably.

got the key now and opened the diary, got the CD, I guess the reference to seeing my face in it means I can use it as a mirror somehow. Taken the blanket of the skelebob, now trying the cycle lock. Tried some of the dates from the diary but thats obv. not it. Beer, CD Case, incense all on the sideboard. Have the photos. Have 5 chinese symbols. Have the black hair. Have the medicare thing with the (I presume) sleeping tablets and the bit of paper.

Right yes you are missing 3 more objects.
and the clues for the cycle lock and everythign else are all in your possesion.
Also there will be one maddeningly difficult bit to come which won't seem obvious but is spelt out pretty clearly if you look.
and its not feng shui.
Clive.

You need to be in a certain spot to see it and it's not obvious.

argh this game is annoying ... I remmeber the 1st room, took me ages ... mainly because i messed up on clicking the dot soooo many times.
i find these things so annoying when they are made in flash to navigate to anywhere never mind find the things.
I am still lacking 5 items, have no bike lock, no incense stick. no key.

Clive the flying ostrich: Amateur Polymath | Chief Heretic. Posted Aug 29, 2004
okay that's easy. just examine all of the items in your inventory. once you know what you've got (and what your missing by extention)the it'll let you lift the bin.

Here how you do it.
**spoilers below**
**don't say you weren't warned**
Get so you are stood standing face-on to the grey bookcase with the red diary and golden pots.
Head left one screen (I find this works if you click on the blue door)
You will now be stood staring into the apex on the corner between the bookcase, blue door and wall.
Above you in the top right hand corner you can see the edge of the light suspended from the ceiling. click on it.
You will be granted a new perspective on the light that is not available by clicking on it from any other angle.
The last chinese character card is perched no top of the light. it is small and dark and quite hard to see.
Also if by this point you have not already retrieved the chinese symbol off the top of the curtain rail that runs around the top of the room, this too is also visible from the angle underneath the light. Two for one - howzzat?
As for what you have to do with all the chinese symbols now you've got 'em ? ha ha. or hair hair. no I've said too much already.
**spoilers end*
**you did just scroll past that didn't you? there's a good chap. **

IctoanAWEWawi Posted Aug 30, 2004
Cheers for that. Would never have got it, I did your instructions one step at a time and didn't see it, my monitor was too dark, I had to turn the brightness right up to see! But then my monitor is so old it could be from the dark ages!
