The new Operating System is out in January. Does anyone have an opinion and/or knowledge of it? Apparently it has two versions: 64-bit and 32-bit. Will the 64-bit version affect 32-bit bits in my laptop? Or is 64=bit for dual processor thingys?

I don't think the Core 2 processors are 64 bit but I could be wrong.
I wouldn't worry about Vista unless you're buying a new PC.

I very much doubt it'l come out when they say, they've had nothing but problems with it since its inception, I think XP still going to be the mainstay for quite some time to come

My husband got sent the beta version of it and put it on the PC without warning me first. it looks even more horrible than XP and you have to memorise all the icons for things as in explorer they have done away with menu bars. It crashed so often we gave up and uninstalled it
