You can call me TC Posted Nov 5, 2006
When I read the first post in this thread last night I was baffled. These things are always so hard. There are so many ifs, buts and do-you-mean?s
By the way, you ought to recommend that people reply before reading on through the thread, to prevent other people's idease influencing later posters.
Here's my effort:
Favourite cartoon character: Marge Simpson.
Favourite book: Soul Music (Terry Pratchett)
Favourite biscuit: Chocolate digestive
Favourite film: The Commitments
Favourite music track: Only one???Help! Your latest trick (Dire Straits). And loads of others. Where to start?
Favourite holiday location: Brittany, France
Favourite girl's/boy's name: Do you mean a name that can be used for both girls and boys? Like Lindsay or Vivian or Hilary (which are awful). A name on its own is difficult to assess. Some names suit some people better than others. What's in a name?
Where would you live if you could: England, but then I haven't been everywhere else, so there may well be places I'd prefer. If I'd lived in England all my life I might prefer somewhere else. The grass is always greener on the other side.
Favourite drink: Dornfelder - local red wine. ... er ... are you paying?
Favourite date movie: I haven't worked out if this is supposed to be a film you would like to take a date to/had a great date at or if it's supposed to be a film where people date each other as part of the plot.
Anyway I'd hate to go to a chick flick (or any kind of love story) with a bloke. I need one or two girlfriends and a couple of boxes of Kleenex. And NO men. The best film to see if you're spending an evening out with a fella is one which you can have a conversation about afterwards. For example, "The Island" with Ewan McGregor provoked such a conversation. (With male and female crumpet thrown in for the benefit of viewers of both sexes)
These things are always so hard to answer because I always have so many questions before I know what the questions are aiming at. The only one that required no great consideration was the "biscuit" question.
Perhaps I shouldn't press "Post Message" - but I think you should know that there are people (I reckon about 3 in ten) who spend hours wondering exactly what is meant by the question.

OK here goes:
1: Favourite Cartoon Character: Scooby Doo.
2: Favourite Book: 'Awaken The Giant Within' by Anthony Robbins.
3: Favourite Biscuit: Cadbury's Plain Chocolate Digestives.
4: Favourite film: Seven Samurai.
5: Favourite Music Track: 'Mon Mec A Moi' by Patricia Kass.
6: Favourite Holiday location: The ship's disco on the Ibiza to Barcelona ferry.
7: Favourite Girls/Boys name: Rana / Slaine.
8: Where would you live if you could? Great Britain.
9: Favourite Drink: Wadworths 6X.
10: Favourite Date movie: 'Falling Down' starring Michael Douglas.
3: Cadbury's mind, not the usual McVities who seem to have the market sewn up.
6: A truly bizarre place that all Hitchhikers fans would love - quite literally it had music supplied by an old man with a record player, complete with gaps between tracks when he changed the records over. He would announce the next track by shouting it out to the 30 odd people in the room as he had no microphone, and all the drinks were canned soft drinks as they had no liquor licence! I flew out to the island and went back to the UK via ferry and train overland through France. The disco was the best bit of the holiday. Recommend it to all! Oh yeah, most of the 30 people were the ships staff and I did wonder who was actually steering the ferry at one point.
7: Pronounced 'Shlau-nay'.
8: Currently I just exist in it - a lottery win would help in changing this...all donations welcome.
10: Never dated a girl who didn't enjoy it - maybe 'cos all the women I date tend to be stressed out psycho's.
