I hate it when people call me 'hun', 'darling', 'sweetie', 'dear', and' and 'love' and when men say 'love' and 'babe'........*shudder*

pheloxi,
Hi honey,
I was right! I wrote to this honey company to ask about how long honey lasts and here was the response:

I have seen this on a television program. Honey in clay jars found in a cave northern Africa was still edible (after being 'decrystalised). Apparently it had been in there for over 1000 years.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the plastic containers we keep honey in will leach into the honey and make it less desirable in only a few years however. (I don't KNOW this, but I wouldn't be surprised).

yeah well, I didn't quite get why anyone would use a dishwasher when a pan of hot water would do just as well . . .

Well, if you are going to run the dishwasher anyway... run out and find some thousand year old honey while you're at it.

Well, I still think it is quite amazing that a natural food product can still be edible after a thousand years. On the other hand, perhaps cream eggs can too - but we won't know for awhile . . .

As do I.
I wonder if anyone's found any Celtic honey? Might be worth a taste, that.
Cream eggs? I'm not sure. Depends on their half- life.
