Owning a PC does not require you to be either rich, nor have aquaintances/friends who are willing to help you out. I don't know why you used the word "snob" in that paragraph. Maybe you should check out a dictionary, and discover the proper meaning.

When you are hacked into something, you and you alone are responsible for the state of your being. Therefore, if things are crap, it's your fault, and no one on this site has to put up with you, nor make allowances.

In my experience, ex-LD-ers aren't intelligent. Maybe in your world they are. But I have high standards. I'm just thankful that the threads I come across are mostly populated by regular h2g2 users, who meet my personal standards.

My remarks offended you? Too bad. You and your compadres offend me. Big deal, we all get over it. If you can't take criticism, you aren't living in the real world. Why does my opinion bother you so much? I don't run the site, I can't kick you off. You neither talk to me on this site, nor off the site, and do not know me personally. My opinion has no effect on your life whatsoever. As far as I have seen, all of you ex-LD-ers have responded in the exact same way (even down to the "stupid little girl" cliche insults) that you did when I pointed out your lack of intelligence and constructive lives on LD itself.

I hope that when YOU grow up, you don't breed. But then, that's a general view of the world. Not limited to you personally, I hope you understand.

You are not as tolerant as you think as you will see if you take the time to observe your reactions to my posts. If you were as tolerant as you pretend to be, you would accept my right to an opinion, or maybe try to present an intelligent alternative view (maybe with links) to try and persuade me different. You didn't, you merely played the "I'm older than you, and have nothing better to do than insult you because of that" game.

excuse me saturnine but i've NOT called you any personal names at all. i just responded to what you said.

there are other reasons why people don't get a pc. i've already explained one n another is i live with my parents n they wouldn't like me to use the phone link all the time. no doubt you will say well get a phone link yourself. i don't need one i use my mobile phone for calls.

i can accept critism if it's in a positive way. it seems you'll only reply to people when you've got a 'smart' answer to give back.

one think i will say is i won't go away. i'm enjoying this thread as much as you are n can be very stubborn!

my mother is unitarian but i never got round to asking her what her religious beliefs are.

As an English major I hate it. What is worse is all the misusage it leads to. Even in "professional" writing like advertising and so forth, I am constantly anymore seeing too for to, there for thier and that sort of thing. Each time makes me cringe. Not to mention the culture usually associated with this blatant stupidity. (See 2 fast 2 furious for example) Each time I see it, I can see the blank, vacous, teenage face behind it. And hear his farty muffler as he cruises down the street in his Honda tipping backward under the weight of the spoiler he has bubblegummed to the trunk.

I don't think I've ever talked to anyone who would react seriously to "I am God" before. Well, maybe Justin The Preacher, but that's a whole different kettle of amusingly bad arguements.

There's something about these threads with Saturnine winding everyone up that just makes me giggle.

Walk in somewhere like you own the place and most people will assume that you do.
