I think some of his stuff is very good in an overblown tongue in cheek way but no matter what he does in the future he can never make up for the line.

Certainly wasn't the Splodgenessabounds, assuming that is the Punk band I remember ('sh*ggin' in the back of a van' I seem to recall as one of theirs?) I doubt my parents would have let me.

I think it was Dexy's Midnight Runners 'Come On Eileen' The first album I bought was possibly The Who, or Nik Kershaw's Human Racing. I bought them after my weeks work experience when I was 15
