have to agree with beautiful south,the first song(what a good place to be....or whatever )was ok,after that nooo!
There are certain artists that people think HAVE to be played,they have no idea about all the great music available...listen to someone no one else has heard of,go your own way,free your mind and your ass will follow,it doesnt have to be popular or even good,many people have posted artists that other people love(me included)

Well, Im gonna totally flaunt the rules and just give you a list of SOME of the bands I hate.
Lets start with the pop/fashion/nu-metal/rock:

Papa Roach
Alien Ant Farm
Nickelback

Well, I could just go on and on here couldnt I? Get in all the bandwagon jumpers of the last couple of years. But I wont. You get the message.
Pop-Punk
All of it, every single little iota, but lets list some bands for completeness...
Green Day
Blink 182
Sum 41
New Found Glory
Basically any band consisting of 20yr olds still singing about how the girl they liked in high school was a cheerleader and didnt like them so they went home and had a w*nk.
Pop
Very nearly all of it. Hell, all of it. Pick a band from the TOP40 chart... Got one? Yeah them, they're cr*p.
Do I have to go on? I dislike a lot of music...
