yes love...right around the corner from MoG.
where the golden beaches are only occasionally tinged by the effluent from passing cruise ships, and the nighttime crackle of sporadic gunfire makes an interesting counterpoint to the early morning cackle of wild parrots flying overhead

Well after the baby went to bed, I sent hubby to the video shop with a list of videos inspiredby this thread and he came back with....
......
Gosford Park!!!!!
It did the trick though, albeit perhaps a little less brainless than I'd planned.
Not finished it though, so don't tell me whodidit.
everyone - I shall use your recommendations *next* time!

I'm agog to know what video Cloviscat rented.
One other I could have added was Bend it Like Beckham. H was very keen to see this and bought the dvd. I do not like football and wasn't at all interested in seeing it. But I watched the first 10 minutes and was hooked, very funny, well acted etc etc.

No sign of a simulpost now
You've got a whole list of videos to get through now Cloviscat, but you really will enjoy Chocolat so you must get it next time you're at the video place.

Hubby's birthday today!
Anymore must-see video suggestions?
It's either that or "Kevin and Perry Go Large" courtesy of BBC1

I recommend Grosse Pointe Blank - a few years old now, but as fantastic as ever!
Or High Fidelity.
