Just got this from a friend, thought you might enjoy:
*Moral Delemma*
You're in Florida, in Miami to be exact.
There is great chaos all around you, caused by a hurricane and severe
flooding.
There are huge masses of water all around you.
You're a CNN photographer and you are in the middle of this great
disaster.The situation is nearly hopeless.
You are taking photos, trying to capture that perfect picture, which
will at once communicate the desperation and futility of the situation.
There are houses and people floating around you, disappearing into the water. Nature is showing all it's destroying power and is ripping
everything away with it.
Suddenly you see a man in the water, he is fighting for his life,
trying not to be taken away with the masses of water and mud. You move
closer.
The man looks familiar.
Suddenly you know who it is - it's George W Bush! At the same time you know that the raging waters are about to take him away.... forever!
There are two options.
You can save the life of George W Bush, or you can shoot a Pulitzer
Prize winning photo. A unique photo displaying the death of one of the
world's most powerful men.
And here's the question: (Please give an honest answer)
Would you select colour film, or go with the simplicity of classic black and white?

PS... I'd go with Black and White.

You'd want lots of depth of field so you could get both his face and the hand he's futiley reaching toward in focus.....
Change of subject but this caught my attention as being worthy of the denizens of this thread:

(I hope that works, I still don't pick the right numbers it seems, even after over two years....)

I got that awhile back!
Well, I've done it folks...I'm now the moderator - although I haven't decided on any specific "hours of operation" yet - of a chatroom ("coffees on 7")@ http://cornergas.com - the site CTV set up for Brent Butt's new sitcom. Didn't wanna rename it "dave's place" (BTW thats me "dog river dave") or anything obvious, then everybody'd be comin'...wanna try & keep it fairly exclusive...hope I haven't jinxed myself posting the details here-CTV could (?) have alot of 'traffic' on their site.
But yeah, like the name says " s on" & it might be an occasional/temporary diversion from hootoo...so check it out, at least once. *snicker, snicker* Kinda my own little Tim Horton's.

Good on ya, Jaz! (Even if it is on a rival network....)
All we seem to be able to produce is that cr@ppy *Train* thing and a website that is incomprehensible.

I didn't realize "Train 48"/"soap opera-on-the-rails" had a site, or are you referring to "canada.com"?

It seems to me that someone has been trying to fill that Canadiana gap. I posted a note to that effect on that challenge thread, Zoomer.

I don't know if it does, either but I don't like it enough not to find out. I was referring to that confusing, dead-end ridden canada.com, yes.
Oh, and you're most welcome!

I did read somewhere that Canada was officiallt born in 1863. Have I remembered correctly?

Confederation of a number of Canadian provinces happened in 1867. But for quite some time before that there existed as political entities the Canadas (Upper and Lower) which in time formed the nucleae of Ontario and Quebec. Thus, Maj. John Richardson subtitled his novel "Wacousta" which was set during the Pontiac Rebellion 1763, "The Prophecy: A Tale of the Canadas." (yes, I'm planning entries on both Richardson and Wacousta.

Oh, I forgot. Never mind WMD intelligence. Better have a big investigation into this: http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2004/02/02/jackson_exposed040202
And, for a fair and balanced view: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,110204,00.html

There was a football game?
I shouldn't talk, I've already received three still blowups of Ms. Jackson's metal ware, enhanced and colourized. From what a friend of mine insists is the source of all email jpegs- unemployed graphic artists....
