Alkland - In need of a SHIBBY! Posted Feb 10, 2003
I take it this is more desgned to be used with a group of people then, as opposed to an individual?
Is it similar to Automatic Writing?

Yes, everyone rests a hand on the planchette. I never tried that method. Don't know much about automatic writing.

Automatic Writing is where one person sits down with a pen and moves their hand randomly over a piece of paper, after a time the random scribblings become words and pictures, supposedly interpreted from the other side, but many believe it's a subconscious thing.
I suppose they're quite different really. I'd like to try the Planchette method.

lol..over here in the states, where christian fundamentalism pervades most aspects of life, i recall us being polarized as adolescents over thinking it exciting or of the 'devil.' I'm sorry..I just can't be that terrified by a product marketed by Hasbro, the same people responsible for My Little Pony . But I *do* love the ripe urban mythology fodder!
