Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am...

Depends on the source. If the pirate DVD was produced in, say, China, you can bet your bottom dollar that lives are at risk due to the working conditions the illegal factories have if nothing else.

The last 45 posts have given me a headache and re my mother, no, it's not OCD, or a variant thereof and yes, I know it can ruin lives. It's merely that insisting everything is sparkling when you have two grown kids, two cats, a dog and a messy husband... IT'S NOT GONNA WORK. This is why I love living alone.

I've lived with and without a dishwasher. I prefer having one - for me, it is better at the job than hand washing. And Dai can't abide dishes sitting on the draining board, even if they have been washed, so he'll insist on drying them with a tea towel so they can be put away. And I DETEST tea towel drying.

If you have the luxury of designing your own kitchen there are now many solutions to that old dead corner problem. In my house I have a unit called a "Le Mans" pull out shelf, cos it's based on the shape of the race track.

What if you've already got a 'dead corner' cupboard, what solutions are there to that?

Apparently the O2 network's working again, although I haven't been affected at all. I'm speshul smiley - biggrin

My current PH though is O2 customers bitching about compensation for really lame reasons. It's sucky that O2 has had such a major blowout, but technology sadly isn't failsafe and it always pays to have a backup. As an ex employee of the company I know that they will have been working their socks off to sort the problem out, but I'm the first to admit their status page on their website isn't kept as up to date as it should be smiley - smiley

Printers.

We have a HP now. It's on our network. My two computers are not. I have tried to install the software but every time it asks for IP I type it in and the printer can't be found; it's switched on and the wireless works, yes. What am I doing wrong...?

Soap dishes. I'm one of those luddites who infinitely prefers a bar of soap to liquid soap for sooo many reasons. However many people... OK women, seem to have an obsession with removing soap from its natural home; the receptacle at the side of the sink, to another receptacle placed upon this receptacle.

To date I have never found a design of soapdish that does not irritate the hell out of me. Soggy soap, floating soap, slipping dish into the sink, more mess, hard to pick up.... smiley - grr

And mine: our hot water tank/boiler only holds enough hot water to fill half the bath, so while we have a bath, we can't use it as such.
