PH: the BBC Id login page. I usually type in my username, use tab to go to the 'password' field, start typing it, and then in the middle of the process the cursor jumps back to the 'login name' field.
So I end up* logging in as 'toyboxord' with the password 'passw', and of course that's incorrect
* Truth be told, not anymore. Even I learn from my mistakes, in some rare circumstances. But the jumping still occurs.

The cold. Christmas. I'm not in the mood for it, really...
Panic. Srs panic. The way people are calling all students yobs when we're not.
Cold. Exams. Lots of cold. And the fact I have a Polish oral exam tonight I have only just finished prepping for... at 3am.

PH: The way it's assumed that an older person is more knowledgable, even when the younger person (i.e. me) has been doing the job longer.

PH: younger people thinking that they know everything and just because I've been doing this for over 10 years and they are just out of school/college/uni they know a better way
PH: people who don't clear the snow off their cars properly. Folks: lights front AND back. Roof. Roof. Roof. Really, getting a car that looks like a snowdrift and giving it a quick blast of windscreen wash and a flick of the wipers isn't enough.

The BBC breakfast news section where the interview someone at Westminster, with a background shot of Big Ben reading 10 to 9. Always.

Trying to do something fairly demanding and intricate with a skulking, groaning, sigher hovering around.
I know they say a trouble shared is a trouble halved, but there's a subtle difference between that and making sure everyone's as miserable as you are!

Maybe that's the best time to interview someone at Westminster, who knows?
PH: Snow.

PH: shared printers. Ours prints and pushes the paper out face down - so that if you pick it up it's all in the right order.
Is it too much to ask that when people take their prints, they sort through carefuly, and PUT EVERYTHING BACK IN THE RIGHT ORDER?
Yes. Obviously it is

Sho, I feel your pain; I remember the craic we used to have at college on shared printers when we trying to print Radio coursework that was 40 pages for some and 20 for another... sorting through what was and wasn't yours and putting the portfolios together within the space of 60 minutes was fun(!)

Driving in the passing lane behind someone who is not passing.
When I get the chance, I like to hop in front of them and then ease off the accelerator while slower traffic passes.

Really Petty Hate: The craic. It really, *really* is spelled 'crack'. Craic is an invented 'traditional' spelling dreamt up by the Irish tourist board in the early 1960s for an originally Scots word.
Also people licking their fingers when going through my paperwork. Especially if they do so audibly.

Another Petty Hate: the way a colleague drinks hot drinks... he'll stop all other activity and slowly consume the whole drink with small, and very audible, slurps.

Yet another petty hate: men who assume any woman who wants to spend time with them socially also wants to sleep with them.

"Really Petty Hate: The craic. It really, *really* is spelled 'crack'. Craic is an invented 'traditional' spelling dreamt up by the Irish tourist board in the early 1960s for an originally Scots word."
The point being? If we say it's being used wrongly because it only came into being in the 1960s, where does that leave "proper words" like 'download', 'upload', 'tweet' in the non-bird sense, and the Facebook invention of 'friend' as a verb?
At the rate language changes now, 'craic' no longer counts as a vulgar misuse or neologism.

People get their petty hates questioned all the time. Sometimes that seems to be half of the thread's purpose.

Crack, craic, krak, whatever way it's spelt doesn't take away from what it means! Quit questionin'. Spelling it "crack" doesn't look right to me. But anyway.
PH? Stormont and the eejits that reside in N. Ireland's parliament.

PH part I
Cars that have the door-lock flashers where you can't see 'em when patrolling car park lanes.
PH part II
Car keys that don't go "beep Beep " when that car is at home.
