I do custom-made corsets, sold online. (Well, other things as well, but they are the most interesting in conversation.) (I had a virtual Emporium for Ladies here somewhere, which was just a place for us to try on outfits and laff. It's still around, tho' dusty...) I would love an actual premises, I occasionally have stalls at certain events.
Corsets are not that hard to make- easier than bras- however are one of the most ripoff things about- I started making them when I found I wasn't going to get one for below £90. (And that's not even custom-made.)
Extended bras are mere waspies, or basques... care must be paid to the waist reduction. If it doesn't involve any, or has anything but steel bones, it ain't a corset. Most places either offer these pale imitations, or charge you hideous amounts for something they had done using a standard size chart. Contrary to belief real corsets are neither uncomfortable or damaging to health, and give exceedingly good support.
re. size of jugs, these here are 34C so in now way prevent arms from meeting.

I've read your piece on corsets and whatnot Mandragora (I hope I spelt that right, I'm too lazy to check ^.^). I wish I was in a position to be able to have one fitted and to be able to buy one from you. It sounds like you put a lot of work and care into them.
Heh. I know what to ask Santa for - All I want for christmas is some pretty boobie holders.

I am not in the business of ripping people off. I am not permitted to advertise here, so I will just leave the clue that I would not pay more than £60 for one.

Really? You are THAT cheap? Ok. When my stomach is flat, you are getting my cash Mandragora! I also read your piece on corsets, which is why I know everything there is to know! It's a very good article.

I'll volunteeer!!!!
Interesting point. How many of us that like corsets also like rock/metal music? Is it just a part of the culture, or...do girls bring it to the culture? I'm not that much of a *traditional* goth - ie : I like my baggy jeans and back packs and band t-shirts. But I still corsets!

Well then, how can I say no?
Heh. You sound like me, Sat. I term myself a 'psuedogoth' and it works quite well. Though at the moment my stock of lace and satin and velvet is really quite limited. I need money! I need corsets too!

Reckon if you are into those subcultures you have to be a little more adventurous to start off with. As regards flesh. (wuhrrrrr!) Then on to following particular trends i.e. corsets, which usually leads to an interest in costume history, at least for some. All will at least like looking at pictures.
thankyou for reading. Now all I need to do is set up a site with it on where you have to pay before you can see anything but a teaser, and that's when the Boat Comes In...

I'm like a goth-poet cliche. Somewhere between the eyeliner and the poetry, with an added splash of the culture before it went stale and mainstream
If I had more money (and less fat) I would have a few more long black coats and maybe a fluffy one; lots of black sweaters, a million corsets in red, white and black, a million more shirts (I really really like pinstripe) lots of baggy jeans and lots of pseudo-Victorian necklaces. And a special-wide fit pair of black PVC Doc Martins with pink stretchy laces.
Heehee. And thus is my style. But I have no cash. SO I remain poor and badly dressed until I finish my book! But the sentiment is there!!!!!!

Typo "...splash of alternative culture..."
I'm more into body modification...and my own boobies...than the costume side of things. But it all ties in!!
Although I would love to be Cinderella...in a big dress with a tiny tiny waist...

*spanks Uncle Heavy* Naughty!
You know, Saturine, we really need to look into whether we were seperated at birth or something. You keep describing almost exactly what I like (except I think I have more of a penchant for purple) and you think Rob Zombie's sexy to boot!
This is getting spooky

Uncle Heavy that is rude!!!
Tophat - I like Nazi colours (although that doesn't make me a Nazi!) Red/Black/White motivate the mind. I like burgundy and purple too though! Anything that makes black look good!!

Uncle Heavy, you are referring to MockGoths who rarely exist beyond the age of 14 and don't get the idea of wearing black with colours that make it look better.
This is far better company.

Just to add a couple more places, try fairygothmother.com or even try on ebay!
ypu'll be suprised ( maybe not ) what is out there!
Honour is still my favorite though.
Skin two is good also, but a bit too fetishy maybe for what you are after.

i know who i was referring to, and im equally aware i didnt mean you. mockgoths, or death kiddies as one of my friends so memorably put it, dont wear corsets or lace for a start. AND i apologised!

no, we know you didn't mean it!
Fairygothmother mainly seem to sell Axford's or Vollers, which pride themselves on having been around for ages and think that's a good reason to charge you so bloody much. I have examined these close-up, however, and whilst the construction is acceptable (I would prefer another layer of lining though, otherwise the waist tape chafes) the attention to detail is, well, nonexistent.

Wait. So who WERE you referring to? Anyone on this thread? Me? Tophat? If not, why say it?
