I use to give blood aswell, but had to stop cos of my illness, i was on epelim for my seizures.
And now im on menopausal tablets and still cant give blood.

Went and gave blood today. I *think* it was donation #22, but the rather strange regional split in the admin system might have ended up double-counting the odd time or two.)
They have stopped giving you a rod to roll in your hand, apparently as it leads to a raised incidence of bruising (presumably if people grip it a bit too severely?)

Here all we get is a small red porcelain blood drop pin with the significant number in it in gold (10, 15, 20, etc.)

Here if I donate blood in a major city (one that has a plasma bank) I'd get paid like $400 a month . As I have Rh sensitized blood, they would find me useful since they make the Rhogam shot from the veins of such as me.

Still haven't got a clue. Despite being for two blood tests in the last month. And I can't give blood, not for another six months at least.
