Yeah, you'd think they would have a lot more faith in him now.

Baron Munchausen is the reason Hollywood doesn't trust Gilliam. Also, Terry has a tendancy to overspend...his treatment for "Watchmen" ran to almost $500,000 PER PAGE!

He's the one who is going to do Watchmen? That might be a good idea.

He WAS...until the suits saw his budget!

Well, look at what Cameron can come up with.

aonemantidalwave Posted Jul 15, 2002
Whats that then?
A pile of cack (Titanic)?
Or an over rated fanboy pile of cack (Aliens)?
I HATE JIM CAMEREON!

But didn't he in True Lies build a life size bridge just to blow it up again? Anyone else would have used a model. So if he can use that much money on useless things, they should let Gilliam use money for what is probably a much better reason.

Good point, Xan.
...but Gilliam isn't "commercially acceptable" apparantly...even though Time Bandits is THE greatest kids film in existance!

"Nobody's EVER going to do Watchmen."
And if anyone ever does, please tell me. I'd give various limbs for the opportunity to play Roscharch. *allows himself flight of fantasy*
I've always wanted to see some of Wong Kar-Wei's films ever since I saw X-Men. Why? Well, when I saw X-Men, the premiere of 'In the mood for love' was at the same cinema. So there were all these people swanning about with champagne, and a red carpet, and all that jazz. And there's me, scruffily dressed as always, off to see an superhero action movie.

At least you didn't wear a cape, and your underwear on the outside.

Hey man I'm just talking superhero fashions!
Wouldn't you rather have the Batman black rubber cape thing going on rather than the X-Men tight fit and cowl combo?!

As I've said before elsethread, I'd like Wolverine's claws.
Imagine it....
Walking along the street, and ome dunderhead stops right in front of you.
SHHH-Tiink! Swoooosh! "Aaargh!"
At a bar, someone who was after you, gets served before you.
SHHH-Tiink! Swoooosh! "Ooooyah!"
Someone starts talking on their mobile phone in the cinema.
SHHH-Tiink! Swoooosh! "I'll call you back - gluk!"

Or, at a push
SCHNIKY!
SCHNIKY!
I want Wolvies adamntium claws as well, even though they hurt Logan when he gets them out.

"I am shocked and appalled, Dr G.
Everybody knows that Wolverine's claws go 'SNIKT!'."
I don't. I've never read the comics. Anyway, I only read comics as academic research. (Damn, that doesn't work now, as I handed in that essay months ago)
