Trashy advertising slogans

Mister Matty

Anyone heard that advert on commercial radio in the UK for some sort of pep pill. Some guy with a "soothing voice" goes something like:

"One in ten people in the UK regularly suffer from tiredness" (this last word is said in the most irritating "it's OK" manner!

Then this feeble electronic tune starts to play with a pathetic little beat and Mr Soothing starts to talk about something you can get from your chemists. It's a naff-sounding product for people who are probably working themselves to exhaustion and should try GETTING SOME SLEEP! It's also a really sh*t advert.

You have to hear it to understand why

Ok, again its not an advertising slogan but just a minute ago i noticed a new biography of Peter Grant coming out. Who's Peter Grant i hear you cry? Well he was the manager of Led Zeppelin, one of the greatest rock bands to walk God's earth. However, the title of this no doubt fine publication is:

Peter Grant: the man who LED zeppelin

Cringe! this is the most appalling pun i have encountered since countdown on friday (sorry to anyone familiar with the shining wit of Richard Whitely).

"When tme is of the essence" coming from the Danish Rail Roads. I think that is a bit stupid as a slogan, considering they have probably never had a train arrive on time.

One that's really getting up my nose is a series of billboards saying things like "A St. Andrews family, is a family", "A St. Andrews home, is a home", etc.

Excuse me but DUH!!!

I always want to add "...but so crap that we can't have a better slogan which is true"
