Date guy called last night, rather than trying to find an evening next weekend, he brought it forward to this evening! Bit nervous, but as housemate said - see it as just an evening. At least I know him well enough that we'll have a good mates night out if nowt else.

actully i thought we were about 3 metres infront of serephina.

I think its good that you are expecting nothing more than a decent night out.

Having said that I always tidy the bedroom, clip my toe nails, wear my best undies and carry condoms on dates. Afterall you never know. Well I never do

Why is your picture in the paper and is this linked to your being back at school soon.

If the answer to either both of those questions is boring or banal I know just the place to take such a conversation.

Im back at school already. but atleast it stops me drinking so much and will help burn off a few of my extra "timber"

2000hrs on the dot: Queegle arrives to see nice young man waiting for her
2005: Discover Yate's have stopped serving food, so have to think of somewhere else while supping drinks.. Bella Pasta is full, I don't suggest Zizzis.. too intimate, don't want any pressure, so we settle on Pizza Hut, even though we're not 13, it's the best available.
2015: Queegle spills wine , though thankfully just through jolting the glass when reaching for it, not spilling down front (which has been done before).
2030: Traverse to Pizza Hut. Queegle has to grab waiters attention etc. Although giving date opportunity to do so, he doesn't.. take charge of those things, so I do. Date suggests canceling cinema so we can take time with meal, I concur. Conversation goes fairly well, I ask for bill.
2230: Go to the pub for last orders.
2300: Give date lift home. No uncomfortableness, but he doesn’t go in for kiss goodbye, possibly because I’ve given no signal that it would be welcome.
2310: Get home, chill out and have a laugh in our conservatory/den “of iniquity” with Milky Bar Kid (aka cute housemate).. which is what I’d been wanting to do for a lot of the evening. I’d stopped making an effort to be dazzling after about the first hour.

Did say to date to give me a call if he wanted to go out again, but he said I’ve got his number now so don’t be afraid to phone him… just as much onus on me now, dammit! He didn’t seem not to want to go out again, but I’m not sure. I called yesterday to see if he wanted to come see LotR with me and housemates on Tues, but he’s off to the gym. So now I’ve phoned, he knows I’m happy to see him again, so I’ll wait to see if he calls.

He’s a really nice guy... I should make the effort more with him. Else I’ll get accused of being too fussy, again.

Date is nice guy, taller than me (), can talk nonsense, works with disabled children.... great on paper right? Milky is nice guy, talks and acts nonsense, saves lives in his day job, AND plays guitar AND carves things...
but I only know all this cuz I live with him, have to get to know dates more to find out these things.


Queegle is being a donkey. Must a) get housemate out of brain; b) be more dazzling on dates.

reading back... when I say I stopped making the effort to be dazzling, I don't mean I stopped bothering all together, I was still friendly and chatty, I just didn't go all out for being wow.
