Blimey Waz just re-read the thread and caught the bit about the letter from the ex!

And with the bit about the bloke being skint, I also just find it easier to give the bloke the money so he can do the paying.

See, I think I'm one of these birds that expects equal rights but also wants blokes to remain gentlemen and open doors etc.!

Actually that whole ex-git thing is one of those things that has worried me over the years. I was a bit of a git to one of my early girlfriends (think I was 17 at the time). One of those where she said that she thought we should take a break for a bit and see how we feel, which I took as an affront to my pride and basically dropped her there and then and never really spoke to her again, whereas I came to realise a little later that she actually meant it and was quite keen on me and thought I needed a bit of space but i threw it away. Used to wonder whether I should get back in touch and appologise to her, but then think she'd probably take it as an attempt to get back with her. Anyway, too long ago now See, even when we do act like gits, some of us regret it later!

Hurrah! Yes! Regret! Feel the pain of guilt! RAAAAARR! (ahem)

Hmmm...the ex-git thing is definitely in then!

I'm still planning on the following:

"Wanted: An ex-git* who has learned from his mistakes and now just wants to be nice (will accept an all round nice guy).
Me: 27, 5'10", gsoh, ain’t bad looking. Seeking similar (height, age etc.) for fun dates*."

Except for the "fun dates" bit perhaps, cuz that sounds a bit naff, but I'm unsure of what to put instead.

"laughs and maybe more" is in most of those sort of ads

"Good times" and "short fling" may attract the wrong sort of person, I'm not up for one night stands or that sort of thing.

"romantic times" & may make blokes think I'm looking for a heavy relationship, which I'm not, if it turns out that way, great, if not, fine, I take each day as it comes.

"great companionship" sounds a bit old

I'm trying to think of a mixture - keep 'em coming!

Do you really need to put that in tho? Why not just say who you are and see who turns up? After all, the only people who will be filtered out by your requirements will be those of a nice caring disposition who are worried about what *you* want. Those who want a quick sh*g are not going to be turned off you by you saying 'don;t want quick fling', they'll just see female, 27, attractive and that's it!

I like "frolics" - it's a cool word!

I didn't say "attractive", I just said "ain't bad".. don't want anybody to think they've been misled! Mind you, I'm not exactly after marraige, and if they're that shallow as to not consider me a mate based on my attractivess then stuff 'em anyway!

I don't think there's anything I could put on the end that wouldn't sound naff of give the wrong impression - perhaps we should just stick to "fun dates"!
