We all refuse to play Monopoly with Him Indoors, he plays like a cross between Rachman and Count Dracula, and has been known to upend to board if there's a difference of opinion over rules etc, and I can't pay the whole game in a hard hat and safety glasses
I want to play Rude Scrabble!! not played for ages

I want to play Rude Scrabble, but that would mean having to buy a copy of the game first...
Munchkin's a fantastic game... have you tried Chez Geek?

There's a game with lots of faces on it and each player chooses a face, and the opponent has to find out which face it is. I don't know what it's called in English, but used to play it with my little sister a lot when she was a kid.
Haven't played any board games in years, but can vaguely remember Talisman. Cluedo is frustrating, and Scrabble is nice, but I don't have it.
We play chess sometimes, but I always lose, 'coz I'm too suicidal.

The one with the faces is called Guess Who? in the UK.

Of course!
I'm very good at that, though I usually play it on paper.
I used to memorise the backs of memory cards and my grandma thought I could see through the cards, 'coz I always won.

How do you manage to read anything? It all gets hidden right away.

I love board games - during my apprenticeship, we used to play for days at a time in the evening and elevated the game to an artform - it always ended up with two people facing off in Europe with all the pieces of every colour (we ran out of our own colour) stacked up for armageddon.
When it reached that point, we normally adjourned to the pub
I actually collect some 60's TV related games now - I have the original 1960's Time Tunnel (remember the TV show?) Land of the Giants, Voyage to the bottom of the Sea, Lost in Space and Man from UNCLE (one board game, one card game)
Some of my other favourites were Mousetrap, Battling Tops, Cluedo, 3000 AD and 3D Chess.
Great fun and I look forward to getting the kids playing when they are old enough!

Time Tunnel you say?? The show with Doug and... the other guy? I thought I was the only one who ever watched that.
