Hmmm... I think Robin Williams is really good insofar as he plays against type. He is class in both "Insomnia" and "One Hour Photo" .

When he does his "Mork and Mindy" act in films I tend to lunge for the remote, but I contend he can act, just not when he is trying to be funny/loveable.

I can I just add my the the people who have extolled the vitues of Jim Carrey in "The Truman Show".





P.S. Di really none of you guiltily enjoy Ace Ventura? Or is it just me?

Williams,and no i didnt see that movie.He maybe a good actor,but the question of this forum is asking who you find irritating.

Catherine Zeta-Jones isn't all that bad. I'll agree with the person who mentioned Gwyneth Paltrow. And Julia-Louis Dreyfuss and Fran Drescher, not because they can't act, but because they can't speak properly.

Julia Roberts and any others who can't act.

Andie Mc-f**king-Dowell. I mean to say... WHA?

I have the following problems with this woman:

1. She has a man's name. Hang on though, so does Cameron Diaz, and she's perfect. OK, forget point one.

1a. She is not pretty. Yadda yadda, used to be a model, yadda yadda, matter of taste, yadda yadda, eye of the beholder, yadda yadda, out of YOUR league, SoRB, so who are you kidding?, etc. BUT:

Ask any red-blooded heterosexual man who has seen Four Weddings and a Funeral which one they'd pick out of Andie McD and Kristin Scott-Thomas, and if you have even ONE say McDowell, take away his white stick and shoot his guide dog.

2. Groundhog Day. Oh no, I'm watching a movie with Andie McDowell in it, AGAIN!

3. Greystoke. Her first acting appearance, and they get a PROPER actress (Glenn Close, who also has a man's name... ) to dub her entire performance... but DON'T TELL HER. So she's SITTING IN THE CINEMA at the premiere when she finds out that she was so useless the studio paid another actress to do her job again. And despite this mortal insult she failed to take the hint and actually turned up to another acting job! And another! And another!

I could go on, and usually do. But I need to calm down...

Jack Nicholson. While he has done some brilliant films the fact remains that he can only really play one role: scary wierdo... even when he's not supposed to be scary *or* wierd!

I'd also like to say that I dislike Keanu Reeves, but until I get bored of Bill and Ted that won't happen.

Age is not a factor in dislikeing an actor they are either good actors or they are not.

I genuinely don't get why that should come into it. I have disrespected Angela ansbury throughout her life and career and have absolutely no intention of stopping now just because she's getting on a bit.
