No need to be sorry! Few people (in this country (the UK, in case it wasn't obvious)) have heard of Powderfinger, despite them being pretty big on t'other side of t'world. I count myself among the fortunate.
I do try to urge people to give them a listen, though. They're really quite good.

I watched PMQs repeated on BBC Parliament and I found every single noise I heard more interesting than Mr Brown!

QOTSA - 'Era Vulgaris'.
Bit of a mood shift! First time I've listened to it. Sounds a bit rougher 'round the edges than their last couple of albums, which is not a bad thing.

Flaming Lips - 'Do You Realise'. Could it be the most beautiful song in the world?

I just watched The Fearless Freaks, a documentary about The Flaming Lips. It's very good and, like pretty much everything else they do, leaves a warm fuzzy glow in its wake.

inspired by live earth 070707 I am listening to "one world, one voice", the climax of bbc's "one world" season in May 1990. "one world, one voice" is brainchild of Kevin Godley (10CC / Godley & Creme). it chain of music from the world with artists from the world.
