And began wondering how one can read a strawberry. I've not had any strawberries yet this year... this is somethign I must attempt to rectify!

Sure Yarreau, some dogs can be vicious, but even when they are, there's only one species who organise that viciousness for entertainment. Nah, hard as it is to admit it they are streets ahead of us when it comes to being civilised.

2legs - reading a strawberry...perhaps the dimples and seeds on it work as Braille?

I never thought of that! I've amused friends before reading the dots on various things, which arn't, of course, actuall Braille You won't believe waht's written on the side of this home-grown cucumber I got given!

WJH?: I began channelling ABBA for a few minutes. I've gotten over it now though. Abba were at number 1, with dancing queen a week or so before I was born... This, I feel, has both blighted, and explained an awful lot about the rest of my life.

The number one when I was born was the Boomtown Rats - I don't like Mondays. That set the scene for a lot of *my* life, too.

I'm just glad I wasn't born any later - the very next day Cliff Richard hit #1.

I think, technically, something else would have been at number one when I was born... but I can never work it out... and I've not a clue what the other song is, not one I've heard... so I just go with the ABBA song... as I at least know it So depressing looking through the list of no one hits from the 60's through to the 90's.... a real sense that the later in time you go through the list, the less likely I am to even have heard of the group, let alone have heard the song, and those more recent ones I do actually have managed somehow to hear at tsome point... well if they're the ones at no one, I hate to think of the rubbish which must be down towards the bottom of the top fortys...
WJH?: I showered... now I'm thinking about dinner... I've not got much in... I do* have a couple of courgettes, but now I've not a clue what to do with them

WJH?: I was forced, by another Hootooer in another thread, to pick up my phone and order out for a takeaway... actually mainly forced by my lodger not having washed up, and so my not being able to use the hob to create a wonderment of pasta with courgette, chillies, garlic, spring onions, cheese, mushrooms and fresh herbs and whatever else I could find in...

I'd prefer Dancing Queen for myself any day. It would make me a lot younger!

Just noticed that she also recorded 'Lipstick on your collar', which was my elder brother's (deceased ) favourite song at the time.

I still have the 7" single of my (who would have been) older Brother, favorite single from when he was a child, probably somethign he got not long before he died... a group who later became one of my favorites, by chance more than anything

Where's my takeaway got too? Is it time to call them yet and hurry them up? I'm so hungry....

I made buns! Bananananana muffins and apple cupcakes.

I'm a terrible baker, and as I was trying to cream butter and sugar together, and then all the awful washing up of complicated bits and bobs, I swear I'll never try again.

But they look quite good in the oven, rising nicely. Will report back on the taste later.

Myself, Mal, and Trig made some...interesting confectionary the last couple of nights, too. These customers don't know what's in store for their bellies! [Insert or as appropriate. ]

Just deposited Trig onto the Gay Pride march - we met first the Sinn Féin contingent followed by the Trade Union contingent, so we had to wait for a more...*flamboyant* section to merge with - then I headed back to base for a shower, a change of clothes, and to get a table and some books ready.
