That happened to me today, too, MP - I got all the way to the supermarket before I realised why the car park was so empty...

Winter is deceptivly dark unless you happen to be out between 8am and 4pm, and that is only on a clear day, It got dark at 3pm on some of the snowdays here.

WJH?: today did bedding, changed bedding, washed bedding, turned matress, cleaned bedroom, bathroom, landings, staircase, a bit fo the front room, kitchen, hoovered downstairs, met up with a 'friend' and spent the afternoon... then wondered why my internet connection had gone weird downstairs.... so came up on to teh netbook instead, which seems to connect fine to our WiFi

Decided once more to quit my lousy job. Will let my boss know right after Christmas. I think. Anything to get rid of the albatross which is my current tagline.

Yes, because I was doing more interesting stuff and earning more as a freelancer, so I think I'll go back to doing that. I also have terrible working hours (even though I work from home), and all in all I just want my life back.

I recommend the life of a beach bum. Poor but happy!

Ah - I take your point Yarreau. But still think you would be better off with control of your own life. Especially as you seem to be thinking you would be better off financially as well. What do they say nowadays? It's a no-brainer?

steinhunder may be bigger, but its in the middle of nowhere

a propper beachbum needs a ripping nightlife nearby, it can get cold and lonely on a beach at night, its a lot easier staying warm and comfy in a nearby pub untill you are too drunk to notice the cold and can sleep on the deckchairs

WJH: Baked some goodies for a party this week, which has now been postponed for a week. Every cloud has a silver lining - I think I'll demolish these tonight and make more later.

Just discovered - through coincidence - that my friend is flying out of the same airport at the same ungodly hour as I am in two weeks. We've arranged to meet for breakfast.

WJH?: went out last ntight... to the pub, then back to my 'friends', got very drunk... went to bed about 5 AM today... woke late... showered, and went to ten pin... drunk more... now very hungry having noticed I've not eaten for about two days So just ordered out for a takeaway hope its here soon...
