I know this forum's gone off subject slightly, but can I include it in the Ministry of Silly Campaigns? (http://www.h2g2.com/A360721) Please!
Also, wouldn't the sheep eat the long stemmed dandelions, therefore not helping the original idea at all...

just pondering...

Oooh! Please do include it. The Ministry of Silly Campaigns sounds great.

You know, I think you're right. The sheep *would* eat the dandelions. Although one could use the cash generated by tourests feeding the sheep to buy more land for ther dandelions. If you really wanted to go to all that trouble...

use the new gene stuff to make sheep that wouldn't eat the dandelions.problem solved.

Better yet, let's use gene splicing to make mobile dandelions. Then they could get out of the way of the lawnmowers and the sheep.

But then they'd probably go and hide under a bush or something and they wouldn't decorate your lawn...

Maybe the dandelions should be genetically engineered to be feirce and bloodthirsty. Then no-one would need to prootect them, and the would keep religious propagandists off the doorstep, and cats out of the flowerbeds.

Hmmm... that could work, but surely that's just *propagating* smiley - bigeyes violence (*bad* joke).
And what would happen if someone you knew came around and you forgot to tell them about the dandelions... could cause a lot of problems with the insurance companies. Would they cover death by bloodthirsty dandelions?
