He seems to think I'm jealous of him for some strange reason.
Which I must say I find quite funny really, but at the end of the day I'm new so didn't want to upset anyone. I did say in my last post I wouldn't bother any more, but the board closed so he couldn't respond

oh for goodness sake - he's jealous of me taking up Basill's time - and I am a girl!! I've only been on the reading board for a couple of weeks - he's like a big bulldog character!!! He's fine honest!! I admit reading board is very diff from the music board where I'm from but they are do care about you and what you are up to - they are very sweet including ST the dopey old get!! (I'm hoping he reads this!!)
talk to me for a bit, because I'm not tired even though it's nearly midnight here and I've got to be up in about 6 hours!! I'm even worse when I go to us!! keep me company for a bit!1

I though he thought I was jealous because I was another bloke on there chatting and he fancied one of you. But the jealous thing wasn't anything to do with him anyway, so I guess he got his wires crossed.
Oh dear he doesn't come on here as well does he? That's blown it

so are you going to tell me what you actually do then? I had a nice chat with the chap in Borders in T4 incidently - he recommended the second book I chose, but I still think you'd prefer the one I mentioned before - the Historian - quite gory and enough based in reality to make sense to your previous reading - am I an embarrassment on here by the way!! Do I look a bit booky? Have just taken my lenses out so i look a bit more Professor Yaffle than normal!!

he "fancies" B as far as you can fancy someone when you are married (seemingly happily) with three kids - seriously it is just gamesmanship - will do him good to have another male reader on the forum - hey it's good this - no 3 minute delay!!!
Ljx no reason to put the tea in - just liked it because we don't have it!!

I feel pretty sorry for them too. especially when the media start criticising them for not doing their (now massive) jobs. and goodnight

NO WAY are you an embarrassment... Not at all, I'm book mad I only wish that board stayed open all the time, I never know what to say on here.
I do security at Heathrow for a well known airline. It gets busy during the day, but at night with no flights I get to do my own thing. Still got lots of cameras to watch though when I get the time to look up from my book

80sgirl Posted Jun 27, 2006
I said security didn't I!! I'm so blooming clever I amaze myself!!!
So what do I need to know about you because I am hyper caffienated at the moment and can't even think about going to sleep yet!
Given the lack of life some of us have, you'll probably find that there is a way of keeping touch with all of us whenever you want - obviously I'm not normally up at 4am unless my kid is really, really sleepless but generally - I think the reading lot is ready to adopt you!!

You might check out the 'What are you reading now?' thread and I think there are a couple other book-related threads as well but I have to and can't stop to search them out. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Adrian_67 Posted Jun 27, 2006
Okay thanks take care Emee.
Yeah you did say security
Adopt me? Sounds interesting god knows why though
And what would you like to know, feel free to ask anything you like.
The NightShift
80sgirl Posted Jun 27, 2006
Well true - we are an odd bunch, so why you'd apply to be adopted by us I'm not quite sure!!!
Er, not very good at asking people questions - prefer people to mind-dump and I'll pick out the interesting bits!!! LMAO Tell me whatever you like!!
no reason for that either except a chocolate smiley deserves to be used!!

What do you do for a living?
I wouldn't know what to say about me really, apart from being 39, live near Heathrow Airport, work far too many hours, got a son aged 11 and a daughter whos 7 - going on 67.

I sell training courses to people - we're exhibiting at a trade show in geneva - that's why I'm here schmoozing!!!
I am two years younger than you and have a boy aged 4.
Errrr, like music, reading, football - what else - you know more about me than I know about you?
oh yeah and I just got an email telling my that my email inbox is too big because I use it to file things rather than delete or print them!!
LMAO - i reckon you've got one more post, as I'm getting tired and think I'm off soon - so make it good !!

I like computers - reading - music - crazy people - and just having a good laugh really, I never have been into football though (apart from this world cup thing, but anything else you can think of and want to know feel free to ask.
Okay, so that wasn't the best post ever, but I don't want to keep you up if you're tired.
It's been really nice talkking to you - a nice surprise - but for now I'll let you get your rest.
You take care and have a great sleep.
Night-night

Right, am not back on here probably until tomorrow evening if at all because I have a full day of conference followed by some other conference event at which five of us have stupidly bet each other we can't bring more people out to dinner with us than the next person (there is a very lovely French bird who should win, but I'll try and work through this disadvantage to mine and win anyway!!! )
In the meantime I expect you to treat ST with the daftness he deserves and carry on posting on the book thread - obviously once you've slept ok!!! I'll look in to see where you are if I can!!
I shall expect a book report very soon and an entry on the muse horrify thread - god knows we need some help there!!!
Thanks for keeping me company, I'm often left with a lost hour after the mbs shut and I miss me mates!! saddo
I wish you a peaceful night reading...
LJx Thanksxx
