Out on the town while I've been working my ar** off huh?
As you had a nice day though I'll let you off.
I'm working the dreaded nightshift tommorow, so I guess I'll be on here anoying people. Were do people go on here to meet people anyway, or this how it's done? I still haven't worked out this site yet.

you add people to your friends list then their journals come up on your page. just click add to friends on their page. Join ask H2g2. and misc chat..click notify me of conversations ....and that will get messages popping up on your page. You'll soon get to know people.
if you put things into search it will give you a choice of pages .

Relax, understanding will come: you have come a long way.
and it sometimes helps to lurk someone else's posting list, to see where all the good conversation is. There are many forums around, I'm subscribed to several.

Ok thanks. What about writing stuff can I do that, or do you have to have a special membership or something?
I was just thinking it would give me something to do at work when I get bored.

You are a special member already. Just make sure you read things before you try to do things with them. You might start helping out in <./PeerReview</.> for example.

nope just go for it. read the guidelines for help.everything is available to be looked at ..so don't write anything you wouldn't want someone to see.

We do a lot of helping. If you write something, and think it needs work, just click submit for review, and put it in writing workshop (also known as "edited guide writing workshop") and I'll (or someone else) be along shortly.

Tabitca Posted Jun 26, 2006
everything you write stays but some things get picked for the edited guide. If you put the title of your peice into search it will still come up for people to read, even though it is not in the edited guide.

No. we like to include things. sometimes we spend months on making things ready. As long as you are willing to stick around and make changes.

sounds really good. I'll have a look around the site, then think of something to write about - I take it it can be about anything?
