I've always thought the search at airports relies too much on the metal detectors. When I've been body searched, it's more like a pat down.
I got a great lesson in frisking when I was in the RN. We were invited to frisk one of our colleagues. 22 of us frisked this guy and found nothing. The instructor then frisked him properly and pulled out rounds of ammunition, detonator cord, detonators, and semtex. To say we were surprised was an understatement . I understand though that proper searches would lead to 6 hour queues for each plane. I presume the searches serve more as a deterrent than an effective security screen.

I got "patted" by a big butch woman last time...my earrings set the alarm off...she was really rough..scared the hell out of me
certainly would put me off trying to sneak anything through

Oh dear does this mean I'm being picked on?
Let's just say it's not possible to have 100% security, if you could, nothing would ever move, but doing your job to the best of your ability is all you can do. Although I agree there are poeple who just don't care, as long as they get paid at the end of the month nothing else matters. Until something goes wrong of course.

Thanks for the welcome back, it’s nice to chat to you.
I still haven’t sussed what this site is all about yet, but I guess I’ll get the hang of it eventually.

there are people here who have been here 6 or 7 years since it was first set up. people seem to leave and come back. it's great fun, you'll find a lot of support here if you are going through a rough time, and we meet up in real life sometimes. usually have a bad head next day

Sounds good. I guess you’ve just converted me to stick around then. That didn’t take much arm-twisting did it.
Okay, hope to speak to you again. Take care.

Good evening weirdos,
No... I'm not doing the nightshift, I'm at home now, but thought it would be best to use this thread instead.

As always all abuse is more than welcome.

We're not all weird, I'm sure. (mind you, if you met me you'd very likely think me weird, and you'd be right)
