I'd not seen it on a speaker cone before. Freaky.

"I've got to ask - how on earth did you discover that?!"
You asking me?
I was buttering up some toast for t'wife and had a big chunk of butter on the knife but it fell off onto the work top. The cat likes sitting on the work top so I didn't want to use the butter so wrapped it up in tissue to chuck in the bin. I pressed into the tissue and thought, "Ooh...how pleasant! Will have to do this again!"

Stroking one's beard. I've only recently grown a goatee so this one is new to me!

That's a dangerous one. Once you start, you'll never stop. I grew mine for a bet about 15 years ago, and still have it now. Always got something to hand to stroke, and I don't get arrested for doing it...

Picking the bobbles off of material like jumpers.
I particularly like the bobbles on socks.

I like the effect that holding a ruler against the paper as I write has on my hand writing.

I rarely check my bank statement. Mostly because I'm lazy, but I know I should. So to help me identify particular payments, I try to put. The same amount of petrol in my car every time I buy the stuff.
It is now several months since I FAILED to put £42.42 worth in my tank

Ooo! I usually put about 40 quids worth in my tank. It had never occurred to me to put in 42:42. I shall begin to do so forthwith or even fithwith.

Anyone for popping bubbles in bubble wrap? Or popping seaweed at the sea side?

Oh yes - I'm sure loads of people are with you on that one! It's probably come up in the thread somewhere already, but is welcome back as a favourite!

Cleaning stains off mugs.
Okay, so it hardly hard work given it involves filling mugs with water, a little Milton and waiting, but it's satisfying to get rid of all the tea stains

Spotting references to obscure pop acts in the previous listings in almost defunct threads, wasn't there a 60's soul group called Little Milton and the Imperials? Ooooh, that was so pleasurable!

Hitting the nail on the head.
Exactly two layers of wire-wrap.
Sudoku before the Shredded Wheat collapses.
Walking across a dark room without touching anything.
Singing in the car.
Sneezing when you feel the need.
Rolling down grassy banks.
Skipping the ugly stone more than once.

It's even more gratifying to run the bubble wrap over in the car.

What if it was a bubble car? That would be really pleasurable, and ironic, I think that's irony, I never quite understood what it was. Was anybody ever in a Bubble car? They looked quite dangerous flimsy things, could anyone let me know if it was pleasurable or not to ride in a bubble car? Motorbike sidecars as well, my uncle had one and riding in the sidecar with three cousins was very pleasurable, but probably rather dangerous!
